Tolkien created a timeless masterpiece with LOTR but Peter Jackson has taken it and made it into something accessible even if u cant read. Its something everyone can enjoy even if the words of Tolkien are too hard for you. The tale has everything u need. A likeable if stupid hero - Frodo, an unsung star - Sam, two comic geniuses - Pippin and Merry, a gorgeous leader - Aragorn, an equally gorgeous Elf - Legolas, the sarcastic voice of reason - Gimli, an old guy - Gandalf and plenty of magic and otherworldliness plus good fight scenes and happy endings.

My favourite tho was Lord Elrond who takes Frodo, the Hobbits and Strider in once they reach Rivendell. Elrond is the Lord of Rivendell which focuses around the House of Imaldris and is simply the best charcter in the entire trilogy. His daughter falls in love with Aragorn and Elrond must let her go even tho it pains him, he must leave with the Elves and leave her in Middle Earth, his wife has already gone along with his children and he fears the race of Men will fail as it did before.

Elrond is portrayed by the equally gorgeous Hugo Weaving, the same actor who portrays Agent Smith. As well as bringing good looks to the role he also brings wit, dry sarcasm and believability to Elrond.
